EASY WAYS TO HELP:
1. Simply click on WSPA link above and send a letter to your MP!
(LETTERS, esp paper are most effective and postage is free!) 2. Print and pass around a paper petition and help gather signatures!
3. Write letter to editors, etc - Do all you can to help educate and raise awareness about why these changes are so badly needed!
4. Organize/attend local rallies to REALLY have your voices heard! Tell the Gov't that it's time they do their job and pass these changes that the vast majority of Candians have been asking for! (Also helps to educate the public, gather sig's, spread info and awareness, etc And a great way to meet other animal lovers and have alot of fun 2! lol)
5. Sign up for those newsletters above and stay current with animal issues and animals in need!

A sad example of this months animal cruelty news can be seen here..

Many studies have shown without punishments and deterrence in place, these people often move onto crimes on humans and is a major indicator of domestic abuse.
Sorry for the short notice, but along with your letters to MP's and Petition signatures, these rally's are extremely helpful and a great way to raise public awareness on this issue while showing the Gov't that animals matter also! Please help by attending if at all possible, spread the word to animal friends in those areas, alert media contacts, write letters to editors, etc.
